Doll Exhibit Donations

Doing her part to help preserve Placer County’s history, Linda Bulman and her doll Valerie met with our museum staff. She got the doll as a Christmas gift in 1952 when she was 5 years old and had a case of the mumps. Originally the doll’s hair was combed down, but Linda changed it to braids so she would look more like her sister. Valerie and Linda had great fun with tea parties in their own upstairs playroom with the doll’s bed, table, chairs and even her own red and green flowered china. With a possible housing change looming, Linda is looking for someone who will cherish and preserve her doll so that others may enjoy it as much as she did. Valerie will be on display in our newest Bernhard Winery Exhibit “All Dolled Up” which opens on December 8th.
