The Great Depression rolled across the landscape of the 1930s like a dust storm, yet people persevered through various New Deal programs implemented by the government. The impact of those programs continues to resonate throughout our state. The California Historical Society, in conjunction with U.C. Berkeley, have undertaken an ambitious project to identify and document all the buildings, bridges, power stations, art works, and more constructed in California through New Deal programs.
