Country Christmas 2009

As part of Old Town Auburn’s Country Christmas on the evening of December 19th, the Bernhard Museum opened to the public from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. In all, 134 people got a taste of Victorian Christmas by walking through the historic house museum, which was adorned with period decorations. Costumed docents provided interpretation of the history of the house and Victorian Christmas traditions. Many treated themselves to free hot apple cider and cookies in the Bernhard Museum Winery where they browsed and enjoyed the new exhibit showcasing our doll collection: All Dolled Up. It was a great evening of fun and warm Christmas cheer. We can’t wait for next year’s Country Christmas at the Bernhard Museum!
